Increase Your Home’s Value and Curb Appeal With New Siding from Straight Line Construction

Straight Line Construction is a leader in siding installation and services, with locations in El Dorado Hills, El Dorado County, Cameron Park, Folsom, Placerville, and Shingle Springs.

Given the climate conditions in Northern California, we recommend cement board siding as it maintains its shape and color much better than vinyl or wood. Northern California’s sun and dry summers will have little effect on cement board siding.

Cement board siding is a composite made of sand, cement, and cellulose, and can be made to look like wood or rock. It’s very durable, and wind resistant. We offer a variety of siding options to meet your individual style and budget.

Your siding options are nearly limitless, so you will certainly find one that will add value, as well as curb appeal to your home.

We are proud to offer James Hardie, LP SmartSide, and Roseburg DuraTemp Siding. Each of these come in many colors to suit your individual needs.

There are many alternatives to T1-11 siding. We will be happy to help you choose.

We also use LP SmartSide for our California home siding.

The LP SmartSide product line features a variety of lap siding solutions, designed for fewer seams and faster installation. Lap siding is ideal for homeowners seeking the look and feel of real wood. Our LP SmartSide comes pre-primed for painting the color of your choice. SmartSide® Trim and Siding harvest hardwood, fast-growing trees for their 100% silica free decking products. Their patented SmartGuard™ process helps ensure durability by preventing de-lamination, moisture, rot, and termite damage. Plus, unlike traditional wood decks and siding, there are no defects like knots and splits to work around. Weighing significantly less than typical cement siding, SmartSide Lap Siding comes in 16-foot sections to reduce the number of seams your project will require, which means less nailing and caulking.

Hardie Board is a well-known cement board siding product. This siding resists hurricane-force winds, cracking, splitting, swelling, rotting, brutal heat, and flame spread. It also promises to maintain its beauty with a special UV color protectant, offering 30% more fade resistance than other coatings. Backed by a 30-year, non-prorated, transferable, limited warranty this siding is not further guaranteed by the HardieSystem™ an engineering process that manufactures siding specific to your climate zone. After you find the perfect combination of products, ColorView allows you to share your choices with a friend or Straight Line Construction. Your Straight Line Roofing consultant can then supply you with specific product information, samples and a free, in-home estimate. Whether you live in Sacramento, Placerville, or any of the surrounding areas, your home will look amazing with new cement board siding from James Hardie.

DuraTemp is plywood siding with a 1/8″ Douglas Fir wood composite face manufactured by Roseburg Real Wood Siding. It’s tough hardboard face that won’t split, crack or check – even with rough treatment. It has the texture and appearance of natural rough sawn cedar. The inner core of the panel is made from strong western softwood veneer and a fully water resistant (NAUF) phenolic resin. It is inherently stronger, lighter and more durable than engineered wood sidings, and provides a low-maintenance, easy to paint surface. Unlike vinyl and cement siding, DuraTemp Siding is made from real wood, an environmentally friendly renewable resource.
